We also have our Transgender Peer Support Service, which supports transgender, non-binary and gender diverse Aucklanders and their whānau to access support, information and a sense of community
RainbowYOUTH provides 1:1 peer support to queer, gender diverse, intersex and takatāpui youth and their whānau across Aotearoa, with peer support groups and in-person support available in Northland, Auckland, Taranaki and Bay of Plenty. They can help with housing, support for parents and whānau, transitioning, accessing gender affirming care, coming out, information and resources
InsideOUT provides a range of services which support rainbow young people to have a sense of safety and belonging in their schools and communities. InsideOUT specialises in supporting schools to be rainbow inclusive and can support students, family, whānau around any challenges they might be facing with schools, or help you choose a more inclusive school for your child. @insideoutkoaro across social media.
Qtopia is a social support service for LGBTQIA+ youth, their whānau, and their communities using education, support, advocacy and celebration to create lasting, positive social change.
Gender Minorities Aoteaora is the national transgender organisation for trans people and their whānau and communities. It is run by transgender people and provides 1:1 and group support, information and assistance by phone, email, and at its Wellington gender centre, as well as its Auckland and Whangarei monthly popups, by phone, email, and online.
Intersex Trust Aotearoa NZ is an intersex-led charitable trust that gives information, education and training for organisations and professionals who provide services to intersex people and their whānau.
Waikato Queer Youth (WaQuY) Empowers communities to support their youth of diverse gender and sexuality through safe spaces, support, mentoring and social groups for their peers, a gender diverse and intersex group, and adult support groups for those coming out in later life and whānau supporting their persons. Additionally they develop and deliver custom education packages on gender and sexual diversity for various audiences.
Q-Youth is a Nelson based organisation that provides support, information, advocacy and education for queer* young people, their friends and families. We offer services in the Nelson/Tasman region. Dunedin Pride is a volunteer run charity org that supports our rainbow young people in Ōtepoti Dunedin NZ. Alphabet Soup is a social group for young people of school age (13-18 years) that we run at Youthline Otago. We also run a Trans and Gender diverse group for members of our trans community that is 18+. We work with businesses to set up queer events such as our Youth Ball and run training throughout the year so if you're keen to volunteer let us know! Gay IRL The New Zealand AIDS Foundation run a a weekly space where young queer guys (cis and trans) can hang out, eat some pizza and have fun! If you're between the ages of 18-25 we'd love to have you along to chill out with us on a Thursday afternoon, and hang out with some other queer guys! We'll provide the pizza and the fun, just bring yourselves and your friends! Gay IRL will runs weekly on Thursdays, from 5:30pm at the NZAF Offices in St Mary's Bay!
